Return to International Day Against Gender Violence, but the number of women killed by their partners is still down. If 2007 ended with a balance of 67 killed so far this year are already 64 (and also a man). A battle that, far from being called 'lost', pushing more and more groups, associations and institutions to promote initiatives to stop this scourge clings to the society of our day. The main Spanish cities were filled with thousands of women and men who have come today to protest against male violence on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. In the many demonstrations throughout the Spanish geography has been recalled to the 69 women killed this year in Spain. These women have been killed by their partners or former partners but only thirteen had some protective measures in force that in 46% of the cases, was broken by the aggressor with the victim's consent. During the events held today have demanded more effective measures against this social problem. (watch video)
